"A Family Resemblance View of Power in Participatory Planning - Towards Reflective Practice"

Martin Westin is a facilitator and process designer at SWEDESD and is currently doing his PhD in environmental communication at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

At the seminar, Martin will discuss a draft chapter of his thesis, titled "A Family Resemblance View of Power in Participatory Planning - Towards Reflective Practice". The chapter includes a review of the power literature in pursuit of two main questions: What kind of concept is power? and which conceptualizations of power are of relevance to participatory planning?

Chair: Sofia Wiberg, doctor in urban and regional studies, KTH
