An open lecture as part of the international symposium "State(s) of Parenthood: Race and Nation in Contemporary Queer and Trans Reproduction", bringing together scholars, activists and artists engaged in the politics of queer and trans reproduction to explore contemporary challenges.

Dr. Russell is a scholar in the critical philosophy of race and author of The Assisted Reproduction of Race (Indiana University Press, 2018), which considers the role of the idea of race in relation to assisted reproductive technologies, and makes a case for considering race itself as a technology.

The lecture is free of charge and open for all.

Presented as part of the International Symposium ‘State(s) of Parenthood: Race and Nation in Contemporary Queer and Trans Reproduction’ and with support from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and the Centre for Gender Research, Uppsala University.
