Opera: Gianni Schicchi
The Royal Academic Orchestra performs Giacomo Puccini's brilliant comedy, the one-act opera Gianni Schicchi. The plot is about the recently deceased Florentine Buoso Donati, whose disinherited relatives hire the prankster Gianni Schicchi to help them get a share of the legacy. Beautiful melodies, e.g. O mio babbino caro, and intricate ensembles mixed with excitement and musical humor.
