Welcome to Circus’ annual “Interdisciplinary Garden Party” to mingle and take part in activities. The garden party is for researchers and others at Uppsala university who are involved in, or curious about, cross-cutting research collaborations.
CIRCUS virtual version of a Garden Party is, as last year, made up of several differently themed meeting places in an imagined garden. Each place has a specific theme and you are free to move between them as you see fit. Consider the “lounge” where you can meet some of the researchers active in our research networks. Consider the “marquee” where you can enjoy and take part in the performance of a magician. Consider the “arbour” where you can exchange observations about all the academic (stereo)types we come across in media, in popular culture (and at work). Have these images, and we, changed during the pandemic? You can, finally, sweep into our own antiques roadshow where we gather around the objects of our vocation. On our desks and elsewhere. Our ambition is to provide ample possibilities to meet and engage. All who sign up to participate will a few days ahead of the event be sent some props and further instructions by regular mail.

The number of participants is limited since it relies on the distribution of a box of props. Do consider signing up as soon as possible of you want to secure your ticket!
