Welcome to a course in finding financial data and company information. The major portion of the course is devoted to Refinitiv Eikon/Datastream. We will also take a look at Retriever Business and a few databases that are available via Swedish House of Finance Research Data Center.
Contents:
-download time series to excel: stock prices, revenues, fundamentals, estimates etc.
-screen for equities/companies using different criteria, such as a certain exchange, size, region, industry etc.
-search for events: IPOs, M&A, dividends, share buybacks etc.
-find ESG data (Environmental, Social, Governance)
Target group: students who need to download financial data for their Bachelor or Master's thesis in Business Studies, Economics or Statistics.
If needed, the course will be held in English.
