Seminarium: Equations in magnetization dynamics

As a physicist, my job is to work out a comprehensive physical picture from the equations I can access and derive. Typically, these equations are non-linear partial differential equations that depend on the environment, in both space and time, and, normally cannot solve these equations. I will present some physical background and concepts that provides a route to studying magnetization dynamics. The basic formulation of the dynamics is a spatially and temporally non-local and non-linear ordinary differential equation with respect to the time-variable. However, through a set of natural physical arguments, the equation can be turned into a non-linear partial differential equation. The physical content and interpretations will be discussed at the different levels of approximations. Input on how to go about with the mathematics is highly desired.
